Vieux Château Certan’s 14 hectares of vines are mainly dedicated to Merlot (65%) and Cabernet Franc (30%), with a handful of Cabernet Sauvignon smattered in for good measure. Grapes are picked by hand, sorted in the vineyard, and are gently crushed in oak vats. ‘La Gravette’ is the second wine from the estate and is produced from the winery’s younger vines. The wine is juicy and ripe, marked by silky flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and baking spice. Drink now or hold for a few years.
