Verve Wine recently returned from two weeks in Bordeaux, tasting 400+ wine from barrel along the 2025 Bordeaux Trail.  From our visit and tasting from barrel, as well as industry reports, it is an exceptional vintage in Bordeaux – challenging years like 2022 and 2015, but with lower alcohol levels and higher acidity – something the Verve Team can appreciate.

The 2025 Bordeaux Campaign has begun and will continue through the end of June. The question for many wine buyers is: Why buy en premier 2025?  It begins with the overachieving Fifth Growth, Pontet Canet, at just $89!  When you look at this neighbor to Mouton-Rothschild from other strong vintages, you will see the 2016 Pontet Canet commanding $200+ or the 2010 at $400, there is something to say about buying upon the release as pricing for this vintage is exceptional and will increase.  There is also the opportunity to request the wine in any bottle size form you like – half bottle (375ml) to Magnums to Balthazar (12L) – which is especially nice if 2025 is a celebration year for you.
