Pian dell’Orino was one of the first estates in Montalcino to be certified biodynamic—small production wines from owners Jan Erbach and Caroline Pobitzer. This is one of the most respected estates in the region, located next door to the one of the most remarkable places in Brunello history, Biondi Santi. Black fruit, crushed stone, and and cedar spice deliver complexity. A well-built wine with silky tannins balanced with fresh acidity. Lots of life ahead of this one.
