Louis Roederer has been producing world-class Champagnes since 1776 from an array of high-quality vineyard sites. The domaine has worked exclusively with biodynamically farmed fruit for the last 20 years, which they believe makes for healthy and terroir-reflective wines. ‘Cristal’ is the winery’s flagship luxury cuvée and was first produced for czar Alexander II. The 2008 vintage was bottle-aged for eight years and disgorged in 2016. The wine is complex and aromatic, marked by notes of citrus, stone fruit, honey, and toasted nuts. The wine’s velvety texture and taut acidity make for an insanely mind-blowing experience. A real treat!
