Jean-Phillipe Fichet is a meticulous champion of the terroirs of Meursault. He consistently works to test the limits of transparency, exploring the very soul of the region. His philosophy prioritizes the ripeness of the fruit – In his opinion, lean, underripe wines do not do justice to the individual terroirs. Therefore, while it has become somewhat of a trend in the Côte de Beaune to pick quite early in search of acidic cut, Fichet is looking for that "optimum moment" when all the components are in perfect harmony.

His 2022 Meursault embodies this harmony – combining three different parcels including Les Clous et le Limousin. The wine undergoes 18-month élevage - 12 months in mostly used wood followed by 6 months in tank, which results in a textured, racy, and electric Chardonnay.
