Alain Burguet has spent his entire career farming his vineyards organically in and around Gevrey. The premier cru Les Champaux is located at the north end of the village, high up on the slope. It's a rich, ample wine with soft but present tannins and good structure. The label is different from all of the other wines, and comes inspired by an old label from the 1950s that Alain found in a furniture cabinet. At the time, Les Champaux was his only 1er cru, so he decided to revive this old label as a way pay homage to the older winemakers.
