Few vignerons know their land and have mastered the art of blending like Jean-Louis Chave -- though with family roots dating back to 1481, it’s safe to say that the family knows their soils. Rather than focusing on single-vineyard cuvéess, the Chaves assemble their blends from a variety of plots, which they believe is the best way to achieve harmony, texture, and create the most accurate reflection of regional terroir.
