Founded in 2008 by Ken Pahlow and Erica Landon, Walter Scott focuses on small production Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, highlighting the terroirs of the Eola-Amity Hills. Fruit for ‘La Combe Verte’ comes from volcanic clay & stony soils. Partial whole-cluster and native yeast fermentation are implemented, followed by 10 months of oak aging. The final wine shows flavors of wild berries, mushroom, & forest floor, with hints of savory baking spice.
