Manu Venturi has all but mastered the art of biodynamics and agricultural heritage, growing nearly 20 indigenous Corsican varietals, and meticulously maintaining a biodiverse operation of livestock, pollinators, wildflowers, and of course, grapes.
The mosaic of native flora and fauna is readily reflected in Clos Venturi’s complex and layered cuvees. "Chiesa Nera" sweet homage to Manu’s grandfather and a vessel to uplift the indigenous varieties of the island, like Aletico, Niellucciu, Carcaghjolu Neru, Moresconu, and Vermentinu to name a few. This red is structured and elegant, evoking the garrigue of the landscape; dry herbs and florals like lavender and sage unfurl from the glass.
