Guy Breton is known as P’tit Max, though he leaves a large impression. Since taking over his family domaine in the mid-80s he's aligned his farm and cellar philosophy with Jules Chauvet, regarded as one member of the "Gang of Four" along with Marcel Lapierre, Jean-Paul Thévenet, and Jean Foillard. P'tit Max the wine includes the domaine’s oldest vines in the climat Les Charmes, one hectare of (get this) 90-120 years old vines planted on granitic soil. It's elegant with soft tannins, with refreshing notes of cherry fruit and dried herbs.
