Maxime Cheurlin took over the management of the storied 5.5 hectare Domaine Georges Noellat in 2010. A nephew of the legendary Henri Jayer, Maxime inherited a significant amount of old vines which he has preserved. All the fruit is hand harvested and de-stemmed, and aged 14-20 in new oak (Maxime believes the intensity of his terroirs can stand up to new oak aging). The Cotes De Nuits-Villages comes from more limestone heavy plots of the richness and minerality of Maxime's terroir shine through.
