Recognized as one of the Maconnais’ greatest winemakers, Olivier Merlin and his wife Corinne began producing wines in 1987, purchasing and accumulating their own vines over the following decade. Known for his benchmark whites, his 2015 ‘Les Cras’ rouge is silky and rich, vinified in oak (well-integrated), giving way to a supple, mouth-filling wine; an ideal match with mushroom-based dishes, vegetarian chili, and chicken marsala.
