Louis Roederer has been producing world-class Champagnes since 1776 from an array of high-quality vineyard sites. The domaine has worked exclusively with biodynamically farmed fruit for the last 20 years, which they believe makes for healthy and terroir-reflective wines. ‘Cristal’ is the winery’s flagship luxury cuvée and was first produced for czar Alexander II. The 2002 vintage has evolved gorgeously and now shows intense yet refined flavors of honey, candied fruit, caramel and hazelnuts. For those that haven’t tasted an aged Champagne yet, this is an absolute treat (and a truly luxurious place to start!)
