Regarded as Piedmont’s greatest producer of Barolo, Giacomo Conterno founded the estate in the early 20th century, producing world class Nebbiolo from 16 hectares in Serralunga d’Alba. ‘Cerretta’ was purchased in 2008, adding this gorgeous plot of vines to the winery’s knockout line up. The 2010 is outstanding, full of red fruit, spicy herbs, and soft floral notes. Well-integrated tannins and oak, plus a long finish, make this wine sensational.
