This concentrated and aromatic wine from Cote-Brune oozes with smoky flavors of red cherries, violets, gamebird, and scorched earth. Tightly-wound acidity and a seriously structured backbone assure that this wine will develop for decades in the cellar. (Fruit comes from a small .55 hectare plot and the wine is aged for 22 months in large oak casks. Jamet is a big supporter of traditional vinification techniques, including partial whole-cluster fermentation, vinification in stainless steel, and extensive aging in oak.)
