Mario Fontana represents the sixth generation of Fontana family winemakers in the hills of Barolo. He founded Cascina Fontana in 1995, which is comprised of four hectares of vines in Castiglione Falletto. The 2017 Barbera ferments in steel and ages for one year in oak. The wine is vibrant and shows notes of red & black fruits, fresh thyme, and pepper. Lean and refreshing, this acid-driven bottle is excellent with charcuterie and red pasta sauces.
